My Facebook Fiasco!!!

I fucking hate Facebook most of the time. Seriously, the only reason I'm on there is to connect with people through my art and music, otherwise it's just a bombardment of answers to questions I've never asked. I'm introverted by nature and I don't do well in large groups of people. Facebook is essentially a large group of people all spouting off similtaneously about random shit. However, I've come to accept Facebook as a necessary evil and a valuable tool to promote my art.

Aside from Borg Queen, my other silly side project Nautical Nonsense has been gaining some serious traction and I've been managing to supplement some of my income during the pandemic by selling nautical art. Honestly, this additional revenue stream has been such a huge blessing, but now that I've been entirely locked out of Facebook, I can't even make sales of my nautical art. I do have an Instagram, but it's not as effective as posting my work on my personal page. my posts tend to get a lot more organic reach when I post on my personal page versus my Borg Queen or Nautical nonsense page because Facebook algorithms limit the reach of business pages so that content creators like myself will pay for posts to be boosted.

So, now I'm super frustrated and contemplating my next step as to how I'm effectively going to promote my art. Thankfully though I just got word that I will be returning to work soon on my film job with Disney that I can't talk too much about yet, but I promise I will as soon as I can. In the mean time if you're a social media junkie, you can follow my nautical art account on Instagram if you already haven't https://www.instagram.com/nautical.nonsense.jenny
